We are very excited to announce that Holla Back DC! is hosting a special dinner for WIN’s 20th Annual Women Opening Doors for Women Event.
The dinner will look at the intersectionality of gender and public sexual harassment. We will examine how our culture views public spaces, the criminal reactions to the harassment, and how transportation choices can affect the safety of vulnerable populations. The goal of the dinner is to network, create an open dialogue on how to address harassers, and brainstorm policy changes to develop safe public spaces. We are excited to have Lauren Taylor, activist extordinar and founder of Defend Yourself join us to discuss some of the different techniques of we can use to address harassers and keep our selves safe.
