From our friends over at Unsuck DC Metro:

Sure, stretch out! Mi Metro es tu Metro. We don’t care.
Actually, this guy was pretty creepy. He kept trying to “accidentally” touch the woman next to him. She, needless to say, looked completely skeeved out. When she left, no one took that seat, despite the train being pretty crowded.

We just received a tip from a reader about this post on Prince of Petworth.
“This morning around 9:40 a.m. a coworker was walking north on 14th Street near the east side entrance to the CH Metro. As she passed the crowded bus stop at that location a man “sidekicked” her hard in the shin and then turned around as if nothing had happened. She confronted him and he ignored her. Others saw the incident and called the police. One man followed the “kicker” as he left the area heading north on 14th and turning east on Kenyon. The Metro Express newspaper man said that the same man had been there the day before and had kicked another woman.
If this happens to you, please report it to the police, and know that it’s part of a series of aberrant behavior by this man.”
Anyone else hear of this happening? I don’t know why, but it bothers me even more when incidents like this occur at 9:40 in the morning. Sounds like we need more heroes like this one.
This is very similar to the Dupont Circle attacker we reported on in April. Could it be the same guy or is kicking random women becoming more commonplace?
If you have any more details about this “kicker” or similar incidents please send us an email at dchollaback@gmail.com or fill out our annonymous online form.

Soooooo… At about 9 pm this past Friday I was walking from the U St area to Woodley Park to go to a friend’s birthday party, and the last leg of the journey was crossing the Duke Ellington Bridge. There was a guy coming from the other direction and he was probably around 18-20 yrs old. I felt and saw him staring at me but was on the phone and thought that that might be a deterrent in him approaching me. I was wrong. I also tried walking farther away from him on the sidewalk but that didn’t stop him either. As he walked by me he grabbed my arm and he slid his hand down to my wrist. I’m not exactly sure now what he said to me because my brain flashed red with anger, but I’m sure it was something really original, either “Hey Baby” or “How you doin”. I somewhat yelled, “Do not touch me!” and he replied with an ever-so-witty, “Oh, she said don’t touch me”. So I repeated loudly, “That’s right, I said don’t touch me!” It wasn’t Shakespeare , but I’m glad I at least said something. But really??!! You’re really going to physically touch me?? Really???!! The sad thing is this is not the first time I’ve been randomly touched walking down the street in DC.
