Forcible Fondling in Washington Circle

Last night we received the following disturbing crime alert about yet another forcible fondling on the George Washington University Campus.

CRIME ALERT: Sexual Assault / Forcible Fondling

On Sunday, April 11, 2010 at approximately 5 p.m., GWPD received a report that on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at approximately 4 a.m. near the Foggy Bottom Metro, a female student reported that she gave a male subject directions, and he followed her to Washington Circle, pulled her into the park and tried to kiss her. When she refused, he became angry with her and forced her to touch his genitals. He fled the area in a yellow cab.

The suspect was described by the victim as a white male, mid 20’s, 6’2″-6’4″ tall weighing 200-220 lbs. with short light brown hair and a reddish beard, wearing a dark blue or green shirt and dark blue denim pants.

Please remember it is always wise to be aware or your surroundings, and call in suspicious individuals and suspicious behavior immediately to GWPD.

GWPD needs members of the GW community to immediately report crimes in progress to us.
